Jaime 2.18
Lisa, I completely understand where you are coming from regarding your family. I have pretty much stopped complaining to them too. I am only 24, have had fibro since 1999, 5 years of it was in remisssion, and now I was just diagnosed with psorisis, and psoritic arthritis. In which the rheumy I went to told me straight up that the arthritis was definately disabling me, almost crippling.
Yesterday, Jim and I went looking for a new firmer and better supportive loveseat. And found it, it was the first one we looked at, and it is the only one they had in the store as it is discontinued! So we got a deal, it reclines, has a console, with two drawers for books or whatever. I can't wait to get it in on next Saturday. The current loveseat we have is too soft and hurts to get up out of it, plus to be honest I think it really affects my hips and low back. No sooner I sat in the new seat the pain came down by 3. I didn't want to leave.
Lisa 2/18/06
Jaime - Thanks for your response. I hope your new love seat gives you much needed comfort! I have been telling my husband for months that I need a different mattress and a better chair or couch. With me unemployed, all I hear is "we cant afford it". I think if he experience one day of the pain, he'd change his mind. So sorry to hear of your psorisis (sp?). It always seems like one thing after another doesnt it? Do you have alot of heaviness in your legs? I seem to lately. Maybe its the 30lbs I've gained! Argh..
Have a mild Fibro day and enjoy your new seat!

Welcome, CELESTE. Yes, be sure your doctor regularly reviews all the meds you are on. Or make sure you fill them at only one pharmacy; they keep an eye on you too. Of course, Fibro IS a 'sleepy' condition. DORIS, you and I must have been posting at the same time; I didn't see about your hearing. Woohoo! That's just great. You'll feel SO MUCH better after the stress is over. I'm really happy for you and I can't wait for the day you come to the Wall and tell us you GOT your disability! HUGS to all.

Hi,
I’m a graduate student from the University of Northern British Columbia. I am doing a project on the physician role in helping patients adjust to chronic pain. I’m e-mailing you because you have taken part in my research before, or because I found you listed on the internet as someone who supports people with fibromyalgia. If you have physician diagnosed fibromyalgia and are over the age of 18, I hope you will take part in my project. To take part, you simply have to click on the link below. It will take you to a site where additional information about the study will be provided. After reading that information, you can begin the survey. It will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. If you have any questions or concerns, you can e-mail me at egeli@unbc.ca. You do not have to provide any identifying information to take part in this study. By completing the survey you are consenting to take part in this research project.
If you know anyone else who may be interested in taking part, please forward this e-mail or have them contact me at egeli@unbc.ca
(Please scan you computer for viruses before mass e-mailing this message to support group members)

Cindy Sue, you can request your pharmacist to get the Tramadol from a company that makes them in tablets. There's a company that makes them round and another company that make oval. Both are white. They (pharmacy) would probably be happy to do that for you. Especially if they know your situation.
Any of you who pray, please keep me and my family in prayer. My husband lost his job yesterday. So, we'll be losing our insurance pretty soon. We can not afford to keep it under the COBRA plan (where you pay extra to keep it going until you get something else.)
Subsequently, I have to request extra hours at my job (Library clerk) and hopefully they'll give it to me. Thankfully I am not flaring up too bad with the FM. And, as long as I have my meds, I should be able to put in more hours withouth putting too much stress on my body...
Pray that my hubby gets a new job soon though. THAT'S the goal!
Thank you everyone, and have a wonderful weekend!

Diana, Where in Delaware does your family live? Who knows I may know them, since I too live in Delaware.
Tonight my muscles went completely rigid. Jim called my new rheumy and prescribed Soma as another muscle relaxer. Within about 20-30 minutes after taking the Soma my muscles are relaxing. The old pain doc that I went too took me off the soma because it is used he said as a tranquilizer for horses. So what as long as it works.
Sherri 2/18/06
Hi Jaime!
I agree! If it (the Soma) works what the hey!? As long as it is not abusive to your body or illegal....... I take Soma every now and then. It works great for me when I have that kind of pain! It helps with sleep too. And - almost no side effects except for the dizzy/sleepy feeling. Definitely don't drive while you're taking it. But you know that, you've taken it before...
Stay well.

Hi i have to ask a question it sounds like irb is also another one of thoes little things that the nuro did not tell me i would get but i lost 10 lbs in 1 week. and you know the dr. its just the meds you have to relax. ha. so i pop i a few zanx and keep running to the bathroom. well have a great fibro day to all the new people that are here I am 38 an confused.
Sherri 2/19/06 12:15 am
Hi Celeste
IBS is normal for Fibro people but I have found that ACIPHEX - one a day or just whenever my tummy flares up is very helpful. My doctor gave me a bunch of samples of the Aciphex about a year ago, and I haven't needed anything else for the IBS since then. Ask your doc (any of them) if they have samples of it.
Be careful with the Xanax. After awhile it wont work anymore and you'll just have to keep upping your dosage then eventually it won't help at all. I take it too, about two or three times a week when I really need it for anxiety.
Do any of you drink KAVA tea? I love it and one strong cup of it gives me just about as much relief as a .25 Xanax. Ask your doctor before doing KAVA though (tea OR caplets) because it can interact with some medications.
O.K... I'M off to sleep now... Hopefully...you know how that goes. :-(

SHERRI, you and your husband will be in my thoughts. I know you must be really scared. CELESTE, if your stomach doesn't settle after taking the meds, check with your doctor. You might have a bug and need to get it tended to. Just make sure. We have a tendencey to blame everything on Fibro or side-effects, and when something else pops up, we miss it! I lost 15 lbs. in a week once and it was a stomach virus. Just want you to be cautious. Hope you feel better! HUGS to all.
Doris 2/19/06
Hey everyone and "Happy Birthday to Cindy" today!!!!!! Thanks for the good wishes July and I am keeping my fingers crossed also. Praying that my disability finally comes thru! It would be such a relief for me! All I can do now is wait and see what happens at the hearing. I will be on pins and needles until then I know. I know I have a strong case but still I worry. Just have to wait and see.
I am cooking dinner today and both my kids are supposed to be coming over so I will get to see both grandkids hopefully. I did some cleaning very early this morning since I was awake and up. I dusted the living room real well.
I have already made a fresh pitcher of tea and a bowl of potato salad. Later I am cooking a meat loaf. Then I will probably fix 2 quickie side dishes and that will be all. I cooked a nice breakfast this morning. We had eggs, sausage, and
grits w/butter. Plus juice. Then I cleaned up all the dishes so I won't have a mess when I am doing lunch. Taking a break now and doing my stuff on here. Hope you all are feeling little pain and wishing you a great Sunday! Take care and God bless you all.
Barb(Pa) 2/19/06
Hi FMily, Happy Sunday to everyone. I am finally loaded and headed eastbound again and I hope home for a few days. I am in Anthony,Texas having breakfast,(Doris you made me hungry,LOL)then its off to Atlanta. Wishing everyone a great day filled with warm smiles and very gentle hugs.

O.K. I have to ask this DORIS - what exactly is 'grits'?
You can laugh if you want, but I'm a southern-California girl, born and raised, and we eat a lot of things here, but grits is not one of them.

Diana 2/19/06
Good evening everyone! I had a wonderful day today & I hope everyone else had some fun too! My son Dylan is 10 yrs. old, he went roller skating with his youth group on Friday night & twisted his ankle pretty bad. So yesterday was ice & Motrin & today a friend lent him a pair of crutches. It's quite comical to watch him learn how to master them! :) He's already very excited to go to school tomorrow.
Jamie- My inlaws have a house in Rehobeth Beach right on the bay. They also have a penthouse in Florida that was damaged twice this year with hurricanes. They own their own plane & fly back & forth & all over the world for that matter. My father-in-law used to work for M&M Mars as a research scientist & he invented the Twix candy bar! Then he worked for Pilsbury & started the refrigerated dough line, he's the original Pilsbury Doughboy! He's retired now but owns a couple of apartment complexes & my sister-in-law manages them. (1 in Pa, 1 in NJ) With me not working since Nov. '04 & my husband didn't make any deals at all in a year, my in-laws have been supporting us. I thank God every day that they are capable & willing to help. My husband sells commercial real estate, he now has 4 deals that will close all around the same time! We should be able to pay them back soon & get our bills caught up again! Praise the Lord! One deal will bring us around $30,000 & my husband is going to have an endless pool installed in our home that has a tredmill on the floor of the pool & a bar that comes down so you can hold on & do leg exercises! I have the most wonderful husband in the world! He has done so many things just to make my life better!
Love to all. Keep fighting! We may loose a battle here & there but we can still win the war! Good Night, sleep tight & pleasant dreams to you!
July, on February 20
DIANA, tell your father-in-law that Twix has long been my absolute favorite candy bar, and I will go out and buy a BUNCH if it will help you out financially! Maybe BARB can deliver them all in her truck and we'll put everybody to work! HUGS to all.
Doris 2/20/06
Good Monday morning to all! Sherri, grits is a breakfast food. It's kinda like oatmeal but not exactly. But you cook it and put butter in it and they are so good. It's more on the line of rice but alot finer maybe. They are real good with sausage, bacon, eggs, ham,or whatever you choose to have them with. It only takes 5 minutes to cook them. Then add butter, salt, and pepper to taste. It's a real southern food. My b/f is from the north but he loves them.
Someone asked did I get my Congressman involved trying to get my disability? Yes I did. In fact I got in touch with 3 of them. Still it has taken me 3 1/2 years for me to get my hearing which is gonna be in April. I am so excited and relieved BUT very nervous. I am just praying that my case goes well and I win my disability. That is all I can do at this time.
I had a nice weekend. Both my kids were over yesterday and I got to see both my grandkids also. Autumn is now almost 2 1/2 and Jayden is 6 weeks. They are so special to me. I feel lucky to have a granddaughter and a grandson. Plus I also have a daughter and a son. I guess I hit the jackpot there. After they left I was so tired, I laid on the couch and fell asleep for almost 3 hours. I get so tired so easily but I know you all know that feeling real well. I woke up this morning at 4 with extreme pain all down my right leg...from the thigh to my foot. That leg gives me more pain than the other one. And my right side always hurts all the way around to my back. Maybe my pills will ease it up some. Hope you all had a good weekend. May you each have a beautiful day today and have little pain and lots of smiles and laughter in your life. God bless you all and keep you safe and sound. Tender hugs!!!!!
Gayle 2/20/2006
Hi,Folks, I was diagnosed in 2003. My biggest bugaboo is the pain throught and my legs are not strong like they used to be. I am very fortunate to have found you! I will be 53 in August and this leg weakness is odd because I was athletic my whole childhood. Running was my favorite! I have an MD who is great but I am pretty sure FMS isn't his forte'. I am starting with a new Dr at a women's clinic. I will have a list of questions so fibro fog doesn't disturb me. I am beginning accupuncture soon, also. I have a beautiful cousin who is very ill with FM. She was diagnosed 20 yrs ago. I am one of the bessed ones. Thank and God Bless Us All

I had a bad car accident in 1997,a car pulled out in front of me from a side road and I hit the side of him at 55 miles an hour, totalled his car and mine and ended up with severe whiplash.I was diagnosed with Fibro in 2002.Have been having a very hard time with the pain, not sleeping, severe headaches constantly etc.My husband just bought me my first computer so be patient with me.First thing I did was check out Fibro sites and came to the wall.I have a caring, supportive, wonderful husband, daughter, stepson and four beautiful grandsons. On my way for blood tests so will close for now and will be reading the postings everyday.

Good Monday Morning to everyone:
I have missed alot since I had to go out of the county this week-end. We just got back late last night from Mexico, where we went to a 15 year old coming out birthday called a quincenera, The girl who the party was for is my wife's niece. The party was very fun, but the music was too load.
Welcome to all the newbies. Diana: I can't believe what a small world this is. When I was growing up I lived in New Jersey & My Grandparents Had Cottages on Dewey Beach which is next too Rehobeth Beach we went there often in the summers. I last went there in 2001 for a family reunion. Alot has changed since I had last gone in 1981. Please tell me more, do you live in New Jersey or Delaware? I am sorry to hear your son twisted his ankle. I also want you to know I too love Twix Bars. Well I have to go, I have a dentist appointment to get to. Gentle hugs to everyone. I will try & post again soon.Richard in Tucson......
Diana 2/20/06
Good morning 'yall! All this talk about grits is makin' me talk funny! LOL
Richard- Well it really is a small world! I live in New Jersey near Mt. Holly. It takes my husband about 3 hrs. to make the drive to Delaware. My in-laws just bought this house about a yr. ago. I don't know too much about the area. One time my husband "let" me drive so he could catch some zzzz"s. He has a Mercedes Sprinter while I drive a Camry, big difference plus I had never driven his car before! He can fall asleep very easily, anywhere, so he was soon out like a light. I was very nervous & tensed every muscle while trying to understand how to look in those side view mirrors with the magnified bottom. Call me stupid but I've never done that before! I was suppose to look for an exit (I forget which one now, go figure) but it was very soon after I took over & I was focusing on learning the car & not hitting anyone on a major highway, which I also hardly ever do! Of course, you know already, I missed the exit! By the time my husband woke up we were in Baltimore Maryland!!!! He was so upset with me, but now it's a standard joke! I haven't driven his car since then!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WEBSITE??????? HELP!!!!!!THE WORDS ARE ALL SCREWED UP....WHO DID IT?
Sherri 2/20/06
I am able to read everything just fine. ????
ironmaiden
ironmaiden 2/20/o6, I just had a little info that I thought may help some. If you need the type larger on this on any board you can puch down the ctrl key and roll your mouse button back towards you and the type to be larger. I have been on the coputer for a while and didn't know this it has come in very helpful for me.
Doris 2/21/06
Good morning friends! Well guess maybe it was just my computer acting up yesterday then. Today the words are all fine. It's early here and I have already taken my bath and am sipping coffee. I am taking Mama to Walmart this morning to get a few things and then she has an appt. at the eye dr. that did her cataract surgery......just a follow-up. Then she is taking me out to lunch. She is so good to me. But of course I do alot for her when I can. And I will as long as I am able to. It's a blessing to have a good Mama who I can have fun with and she is like a friend too.
Speaking of Twix candy bars, I bought some Breyers Twix ice cream the other day. It's pretty good. I had never seen it before in the store. They are making so many kinds of ice cream these days. It's unbelievable. Makes it hard to choose from to.......LOL. You should see me standing in front of the counter trying to figure out what kind I want, takes me awhile. I really don't need any of it cause of my weight but I just can't resist.
I met my neighbor in front of me. She is really nice. Her name is Audrey. She works at the hospital at the registration desk for outpatient
procedures. I have seen her there before. Her sister-in-law used to live here but she passed away. She sent us a chocolate cake when we first moved in. That was so sweet of her. I think I will be good friends with her. Her husband seems to be older than her and he isn't able to work. I see him outside sometimes. I am glad we have nice neighbors.
Well I hope you all have a good day. I am gonna try. My legs and side are still hurting but I am gonna try to keep up with Mama.....LOL. I may have to stop and sit somewhere every now and then. Maybe I can get thru a couple of hours and then I can some home and rest like I usually have to do after an outing. So take care all and keep smiling and I wish you little pain today!!!!
Jaime 2/21
Hi all, Was admitted on the 19th to the hospital for pain control. They are going to do several tests including MRIs, Cat Scans, Xrays, and I think that's it. Yesterday the pain got so bad on me I was crying and then I don't remember anything so I think I may have passed out. The nurses told me later that they came to give me medicine to help the pain, and I was breathing only at 10 breaths a minute. A bit slow. Other than that I'll let you all know what happens. At least I have my laptop here in the hospital with me.
Richard in Tucson February 21, 2006
Good Tuesday Morning To Everyone here; I don't have much time to post, I just needed to check in with you all.
Diana: That sure sounded like a fun adventure with your Husband's Mercedes. I have heard of Mt. Holly, but I have not been there, what are some of the surrounding towns? I grew up in a town called Green Brook N.J. it is close to Plainfield off of route 22. I spent the last few years, before moving to Tucson Az. Living in Sussex County, near to High Point National Mounument.
I am sorry to bore the rest of you with these details. I have to go tday & Get Our Van Serviced and washed before we leave for Disneyland Tomorrow. I don't like driving in Los Angeles so I want to make sure the car is in good shape before we leave. I will not be posting until Monday because I won't have access to a computer, I will miss you all. Take care until then Gentle Hugs from Richard in Tucson....

hey guys. I started physical therapy a week ago. i hate it and i don't think they're treating me properly, but i wanted to tell everyone a tip i learned. to get out those horrible knots in the neck use a walking cane. You put the handle part over your shoulder right into the knot and pull. It feels great! neat little tip. at least i learned one thing.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have had neurological problems for the past 9 months. Six months ago I had a cervical spine surgery and my symptoms got much worse. It started with numbness, tingling, weakness, neck pain. The doctors told me it was the disc in my neck pushing on my spinal cord. I had surgery. Since surgery I have gotten so much worse. Muscle twitching, leg weakness, arm weakness, fatigue, numbness, tingling, muscle pain all over(the areas are sore to touch), esp. hips, shoulder, blurred vision, hyperreflexia. I also have burning sensations all over including my scalp. I have this feeling like my legs aren't there, or are not connected to my body, but they are. Kind of like I have to think about walking. I have seen 3 neurologists. MS has been ruled out with MRI's, EMG, Evoked potentials. My whole spine has been MRI'd. The doctors found NOTHING. Two of the doctors told me they didn't know what it was. One of them said, "we may never know what's wrong with you". The other one said he thinks some lobe of my brain is interpreting signals incorrectly and that's why I have all of these feelings. The third one said fibromyalgia and referred me to a fibro specialist. My symptoms NEVER go away. They do vary in intensity though. No such think as remission here so far. Can anyone help me. Does this sound like fibro to you guys? My appt. with the specialist isn't until mid-March. Thank You, Patti
Jeanette
Has anybody heard about a possible cause for fibromyalgia is something about the Hypothalamus (some part of your brain that sends out hormones to the rest of the body). One of the hormones regulates delta sleep.
Jeanette

As far as I've ever known, the 'cause' of FM has always been a mystery. There are TONS of theories, but nothing proven. The theory that I was told in the very begining of my diagnosis (18 years ago) was that people who have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which I already had)often end up with FM. And people often get Chronic Fatigue if they've ever had Mononucleosos which activates the 'Epstein Barr Virus'. I hope your'e not confused. Remember - they're all theories!
RICHARD -
Wave hello to me as you pass through the Coachella Valley on your way to 'Dizzy-land'! That's where I've been for the past 10 years.
I'm originally from L.A. county- Glendale. My husband and I want to move to Nashville (he's a musician) or Ontario Canada (where's he's originaly from).
Is the cold REALLY a lot worse on the body? Because the 110 - 120 degree summers here in the Desert are BRUTAL! Going back to LA is not an option. We do not like the pace there. We're getting older you know....almost 40 :-)
TTFN!

Good Morning! PATTI and JEANETTE, I think SHERRI is right, based on my research and extended experience with Fibro (LOL). JEANETTE, I think that’s exactly what Fibro is, a chemical imbalance in the brain. That’s why SSRIs help us so much: they balance that chemistry out enough to give us sleep neurotransmitters at night. I think the pituitary and pineal glands are also a part, as well as adrenals and thymus and thyroid, so it’s a big cascade. PATTI, it sounds to me like you already had mild Fibro and your surgery kicked it off. That happens a lot. I realize in retrospect I had Fibro all my life, and a bout with CFS allowed the Fibro to take over. With some people it’s surgery or car accidents. The theory is, something happens in the neck. I had a car accident, took a LOT of Tylenol for a year, and then crashed with CFS. The Chronic Fatigue went away after a year, but the Fibro has hung around for 16 years. Hope this helps! HUGS to all.

Hi all. Just a short post this morning. I got a note from Bonnie and she says to let you all know that she decided to spend extra days down in Fla. She will be back on Feb. 24th. So don't worry, she hasn't run away! Also she doesn't have access to a computer down there where she is staying so she wanted me to let you all know she is fine and having a good time. Also her pain is less. I have my daughter and grandson here with me today and we have some things to do. Hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless. Hugs to each of you.

Barb (Pa): I think your right on my tring to enjoy life although I have not exactly had the time to kick back LOL. I am always running. but thanks all the same, I appreciate your concern and wishing us luck for the LA Traffic & we will have fun.
Carrie: thanks for the wonderful advice on the knots in the Neck & the walking cane.
Patti: You have come to the right place several people here can and will help or advise you, that you can be sure of.
Jeanette: Yes I have read up on this, about the Hypothalamus, This relationship is shared with the Pituitary gland, Adrenals, Thyroid, as well as other organs of the body. When I get back into town I will try to find the research on this and paste it here for all to read.
Sherri I will wave hello if you promise me to wave back LOL, Coachella Valley is a big place I hope you see me waveing. I wish everyone a stress free pain free weekend talk to you soon Gentle Hugs Richard in Tucson....
bj58
hello,
i've just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
i also have OA in my neck and lower back and fingers.
i'm 58.
i can't find the right medicine to help w/the pain, but i don't think my FML is severe yet and don't know if it will get worse.
i need some information on where to look for alternative medicines.
i've taken every antinflammatory known to mankind i think inc. muscle relaxers which do no good.
i've had some very bad reactions to some of this medicine that scares me.
thanks for any info. you might send my way
bj.
July, on February 23
BJ, try reading some of our archives. You will learn a lot about all the things we've tried. Regarding muscle relaxers, you really have to be on them a while for them to be most effective. Have you tried antidepressants? They help with sleep and hence with pain. Hang in there: eventually your doc will find something that works for your pain. I'm not aware of any alternative meds that work that well, but some of us respond well to chiropractic and to accupuncture. Good luck! HUGS to all.
Sherri 2/23/06
BJ - I'm sorry to hear about your diagnossis. It's difficult to accept sometimes, but on the other-hand, once you do accept it, you can start dealing with it head-on. I know for me, accupressure massages (massage that targets your trigger points as much as you can tollerate) often helps. Like July said, read the archives here.
I have only been coming to the wall for about three weeks now and it's just nice to know that there are people out there that understand exactly how I am feeling physically. We all have FM on different scales, but we can all relate to each other.
Myself, I've had it for 10 years or more (probably more like 18 years) and I am only 37 years old. Some days I'm about a 9 on the pain scale and some days I'm only a 4.
I hope you can find some help here. Complaining IS allowed... :-)
Patti
Hi everyone. Thanks July for your reply. I think you are probably right. I've been tired my entire adult life with aches, pains etc in different areas. If I did too much I would just "crash". The surgery definitely set something off. I just wonder how long it will take to improve. Patti

Good morning all and welcome to the "newbies"!!! First I must say that it is sad to see so many young people with these problems.......I am 45 and having enough of a hard time being in pain SOMEWHERE all the time......it never stops!
I know that it has to be more of a struggle for younger people to deal with in their lives. This morning I am in PAIN in both hips and down both legs....guess I would rate it a 6, bearable but very uncomforable. The left side is worse....weird cause usually it is the right that is worse. The Lyrica just doesn't seem to be helping my Restless Leg problem anymore......don't know if there is anything else to be done. I have tried so many meds for it already.
Also my neck is hurting and it's about a 5 on the pain scale so I can manage that ......what choice do I have......lol. I just wanna say:"Oh Great Gods of the FibroWorld,Please Have Mercy on Me Today"!!!!!! Don't think that will help, do you guys???? Anyway, take care all and have a safe and hopefully painless weekend!!!! Tender hugs and sweet smiles to you all. May God bless you all and help somebody find a CURE for this "BEAST" that haunts us all daily!!!!!!

Great morning to all! It's very windy here in Jersey! My son is now off the crutches but still walks with a little limp. He's a very smart boy & is determined in almost all that he does. He has been the easiest one out of our 5 kids to raise. It just seems inbred in him, he's my little angle! For those of you who don't know, we are a step family, 2 of mine, 2 of his & one of ours! One of my husband's girls left for Texas to go to college, she has been our worst one to control, we even sent her to live with my in laws for about a year & she acted out so bad we brought her back. Anyway, we just heard this week, because she doesn't talk to us yet, that she was arrested in Texas for prostetution! Someone posted bail for her & she skipped bail & is on the run! Sadly it doesn't surprise either of us!
My back pain is slowly improving, my house is in shambles cause I can't walk much & I can't sit. Today it feels mighty fine but I'm afraid to get my hopes up cause we just got up, seems to worsen as the day goes on. I've done my stretching exercises & started walking in the back yard. My husband is a bit excentric & he made our back yard perfectly flat to make a field that Dylan(our son) can play football on! Works great for walking, it's soft ground without bumps or holes. I was also given a Pilate exerciser, I'd never heard of it before. It has a sliding bench with straps to pull your weight with your hands or your feet. I tried it out just one day to see if I could do it & if it would make me sore. I think it will be a great addition to my recovery. My husband is still researching endless pools to find just the right one for me, then we have to decide where to put it. He wants to find one that you can disassemble in case we ever move! Can't wait to jump into a nice warm exercise tub!
Richard- I don't go outside Burlington county much but Cherry Hill, Moorestown(ritzy) and Trenton are all very close. I've never heard of any of the places you mentioned. I guess I live a sheltered life! Not really, I grew up in El Monte Calif. about 15 mins ouside of LA. We frequented Dizzy-land every year because my dad worked for the city & we got discount tickets only to use in winter, as if they get winter! We moved to the East coast where I went college & then my first husband was in the Air Force, so we went to East Berlin for three yrs. then went to Minot ND & back to Pa where the family was. When I divorced, I moved to NJ, been about 10 yrs.
I'm glad to see all the new people posting. This is a great place to vent & sometimes be stupid (me) & everyone still accepts you for who you are & where you are in your fibro battle! Keep posting, it's very addicting once you get to know everyone a bit! My husband teases me because I knew nothing about computers when I met him & now I'm almost on one more than him! He collects parts here & there & puts computers together to give to young people who need them for college! He's a great & wonderful man in all he does for others! I am truly blessed.
As I look back at my post I see it's getting rather long. I take Provigil in the morning & I CAN'T stop babbling! TTFN My love to all of you wonderful people!

Good morning everyone, I just need some advice today, i dont know where everyone is from, but i am from Indiana, were one day its 60 degrees and when you wake up the next day there is snow on the ground! And we all know that cold wet weather is the worst thing EVER. My boyfriend got a job offer in Florida and wants to move there. Before, I wouldnt have left my family and friends, but being sick and unable to run around with all the rest of my 21 year old friends has really made me realize who all my REAL friends are.(I have 1 left)and all she wants is for me to be happy and feel healthier even if that means moving across the country. Even my parent are wondering if I should try the move, but what if being away from my (friend) and family depresses me even more. I was a very outgoing, energetic person before all the pain came I just want to regain my life back. If any has any advice for me I would really love to here from you I havent met anyone with fibro. yet and im eager to here someones opinion who knows exactly what im going through! Thank you so much I hope we all have a wonderful day!!!!
