Welcome to the FMPSC Discussion WALL

The FMPSC site is for people living with fibromyalgia - people who have fm, their friends, their families, their co-workers and anyone else whose life is affected by fibromyalgia, ; and is maintained by people who have fibromyalgia.

Basically any and all discussions related to living with FM/MPS are welcome.

Here are some guidelines to keep in mind when posting that will help to keep the site as friendly and as comfortable as possible for everyone.

Your message can:

Your message cannot:

Simply put - please leave all political, religious and commercial concerns at home when you post here.

We encourage sharing information in your posts. Rather than including the entire text of any information that you find on the Internet, please direct people to that information by putting the URL (web site address) in your post. Any information that comes from periodicals or books cannot be quoted in posts without the express permission of the author, due to copyright issues. It would be better if you referred to the printed material and let people know that the information was useful to you.

Also, when posting, please observe the following rules of 'netiquette'

  1. A real person with real feelings is at the other end of the connection. Hurting him/her is not okay.
  2. Try to figure out what is happening before sending a message. You may not know all the facts.
  3. Avoid insulting someone.
  4. If something or someone is bothering you, send a private message. Don't embarrass them and yourself in front of others.
  5. Pay no attention to troublemakers. Often it is attention that they seek.
  6. Posting in all capital letters is considered SHOUTING.
  7. Please respect the privacy of posters. Do not send mass mailings to anyone unless you have their permission.
Any post that seems to depart from these guidelines may be removed from the WALL. You will be notified of the removal.

Some hints to help the person who trims the WALL:

  1. Please put the date at the top of your post.

  2. If you are entering a link to another page, please put the WHOLE address (including http:) so we can locate it.
  3. Please try to keep your posts predominantly fairly short (15-20 lines or less), with only occasional long posts.
Thanks
